Ihave an Acer Aspire V 14 Touch and I accidentally left it on for a night, but it is set to sleep after 10 mins and the charger was plugged in. The next morning I pressed some keys, expecting it to wake from sleep mode but the screen remained black. So I manually shut it down, then I turned it on, the screen remained black.

On the right hand bottom corner of the screen you will see power icon. click on it, keep holding the shift key and select restart. you will be guided to the advance options. follow the below instructions and try to boot the computer into safe mode.
