Rich nodes have reset either at daily reset or X hours after harvesting, whichever was later. I don't know the exact value of X, but it was definitely less than a full 24. For the sake of argument say it was 12. That means if you harvest a rich node in the first 12 hours after daily reset, it will reset with daily.
